David Bussone
Currently, David Bussone is Senior Vice President - Acute Care Division and Vice President of the Western Region. In June, 2007, he was promoted to Regional Vice President, Western Region. As the top regional executive for the Pennsylvania-based Universal Health Services, Inc., David directs the overall operation and strategic development of 11 acute-care hospitals located in Nevada, Washington, and California. Prior to his promotion, David was Group Director of the Valley Health System, overseeing the five Las Vegas hospitals.
He has more than 30 years of health care experience, including serving as a Chief Executive Officer at Tampa General Hospital, and various HCA facilities. In addition, he has multi-facility experience, including the CEO of the University Hospitals & Clinics in Jackson, Mississippi. He has also served as Senior Vice President with Cambio Health Solutions and, most recently, the CEO of Apparo Healthcare, a consulting company he founded.
